Why we built it

Most pre-grading advice is eyeballing a card under a desk lamp and guessing. That's not precision, it's optimism. We built CardGraderIO because centering, corner wear, and edge condition are all things you can actually measure — not just estimate — if you have the right tools pointed at the right spots.

The tool walks a card through the same categories a real grading company scores: centering (measured to a tenth of a millimeter with a digital gauge, not a ruler held up to a screen), corners and edges (scored with AI-assisted photo analysis), and surface condition. You get a combined PSA / BGS / CGC / SGC / TAG estimate and a PDF report, built from actual measurements, not a hunch.

Who it's for

Collectors sitting on a stack of cards, deciding which ones are worth submitting. CardGraderIO won't replace a real grading company — nothing will — but it will tell you, before you spend the submission fee, which cards in that stack are genuinely gem-mint candidates and which ones are going to come back a 7 no matter how good they look in hand. That's money saved on the cards that wouldn't have graded well, and real confidence on the ones that will.

How we think about it

Precision over hype. Every number CardGraderIO shows you comes from an actual measurement — a gauge overlay, a pixel count, a photo analysis — not a marketing claim about how good our AI is. If the tool can't measure something reliably, it doesn't pretend to.
